“DARNOJE” is transcultural artistic project, that combines archaic Lithuanian and Indian performing traditions, Lithuanian polyphonic songs, traditional music, Indian percussion, traditional and neoclassical dance traditions. This project highlights the universal values of art: interculturality, cultural tolerance, integration of cultures, cultural and aesthetical education. “DARNOJE” is a part of SURSADHANA, an international annual festival of Indian classical arts. Since 2014, “DARNA” has presented not only stage performances on various stages of Lithuania and Latvia, but also took care of interactive educational programs involving performers and researchers of ancient Indo-Baltic cultures and arts.
